RoboLab

In the RoboLab - one of the two experimental rooms in the Cyberneum - methods from control and information theory are used in order to investigate and understand the connection between perception and action in the human brain.

The RoboLab houses a motion simulator, which is based on a robot-arm. This simulator is perfectly suited for experiments on self-motion perception as well as investigations of actions based on perceived self-motion.

The motion simulator can move participants linearly over a range of several meters and can rotate them almost around any axis thus offering a high degree of freedom of motion.
