The brain: surviving in a dynamic world
Research report (imported) 2025 - Cyberneum
Summary
Our world is rapidly changing and dynamic, challenging neural information processing to not lag behind. However, it also contains various regularities that enable to optimize interaction through prediction and temporal processing. My group and I study the cognitive, computational and neural mechanisms that enable adaptive interaction with dynamic environments. Subcortical-cortical interactions and flexible adjustment of cortical oscillations emerge as organizing principles of dynamic cognition.
