Overview and Course Content:

Data are produced in nearly every step of research, and are essential for producing reliable and reproducible results.

The amount of research data has been steadily increasing, and thus also the need for a proper handling of these research data.

Poor research data management (RDM) practices can lead to inefficiencies like repeated work, errors, data loss and further issues. Good data management practices can save you time and effort in the long run, and ensure that your data remain accessible and usable throughout your research project and beyond.

Therefore we offer an RDM onboarding course, which covers topics like file formats, folder structures, storage, backups, archiving and data publication, legal aspects etc; also MPG services are presented.
