Circular Treadmill

With the Circular Treadmill we we were able to investigate the interaction between the proprioceptive/kinesthetic and the vestibular system during active task such as walking.

Hereby, the Circular Treadmill was acting like a regular treadmill in form of a circular disc. It was featured with an active handlebar that could guide people to stay in place, to walk forward or backward. With this it allowed us to disentangle the different multisensory cues in an experimentally controlled fashion during active exploration
